R’mani Taylor paced Shadow Creek (19-13 overall) with 14 points and Bre`yon White added 10 points.
Angleton led 11-9 after the initial eight minutes, but the Lady Sharks went on an 18-7 run in the second quarter to take a 27-18 advantage at the break. Shadow Creek then increased its cushion to 38-27 after three periods.
The Lady Sharks played Madison in their Class 5A bi-district girls’ match-up at Butler Field House in Houston late Monday, but the Advertiser went to press prior to tip-off.
The Manvel Lady Mavericks also faced Houston Northside in their Monday bi-district basketball contest at Barnett Field House, while Alvin played Alief Elsik Tuesday at Shadow Creek High School.
