The Indians rolled in the opener behind Grant Rogers’ four hitter and RBI’s by Khristian Curtis, Ryan Sosa and Reece Mancera. Braylon Shoaf had a pair of hits for the Sharks.
Shadow Creek then dropped a 12-inning heartbreaker to PNG in game two with Mancera delivering a two-out walk-off single to center field.
Aidan Griggsby drove in both SC tallies with RBI singles in the second and third frames. Griggsby, who went 3-for-4 at the plate overall, also shined on the mound, allowing only two runs and two walks with four strikeouts in seven innings of work. The teams combined to leave 23 runners on base before Mancera’s game-winning hit.
