Back-to-back Class 6A Division I champion North Shore will face California power De La Salle and 2019’s Class 5A Division I champion Shadow Creek will play Philadelphia stalwart St. Joseph's Prep in a Week 1 doubleheader at Galena Park ISD. It could be a prime spot for ESPN’s annual high school football showcase if it were to be chosen.
St. Joe’s won the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association 6A state title last year. De La Salle is routinely one the top programs in the country, ranking 12th in MaxPreps’ national Xcellent 25 rankings last year.
